Cloudy and Britton IQF Tunnels freeze foods quickly, individually and economically. We design each tunnel to solve specific problems of frozen food processors. Strategic placement of freezer coils and fans reduces shutdowns caused by food particles in the refrigeration coils. Food that falls through the mesh conveyor belt drops past the fan outlet and into a stainless steel cleanup area where it cannot reach the coils. As a result Cloudy and Britton IQF Tunnels operate longer and more efficiently.
Cloudy and Britton's unique modular design of Cloudy and Britton's IQF Tunnels allow fast upgrades of existing systems to reduce production downtime. Our tunnels can be designed to sequentially defrost one section at a time, allowing the tunnel to operate continuously for up to 24 hours a day.
One major design advantage is the fans that circulate freezing air are located above the coils and draw frost-free refrigerated air, reducing the likelihood of ice forming on the fan blades. Air flow can be adjusted to provide an even air flow through the mesh conveyor belt, resulting in even freezing and consistent separation of food product.
Cloudy and Britton IQF Tunnels are safe and quiet. Refrigerated air flows through the belt and down both sides of the enclosed tunnel, returning to the refrigeration coil at a constant low velocity. The fans and motors are entirely inside the tunnel, eliminating the safety hazard of exposed fans.

Designed to fit in the same footprint as the old Lewis tunnels with 20% more capacity in the same footprint. Fans are mounted directly under belt, with coil under fans, which eliminates product falling into coil sections.
-
Capacity: 2,000 to 50,000 lbs/hour
-
The Cyclone IQF Tunnel comes in 6 or 8 foot modular sections.
-
Industrial Refrigeration Equipment is also custom made by Cloudy and Britton to give you an entire Industrial Freezer System.
-
Cloudy and Britton recommend using the Cyclone IQF Tunnel for IQF small products ranging from 3/16 to 2 inches in diameter.
